Lonnie Level Smith, a 28-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on May 17, 2017, in Clarkton, North Carolina. The incident occurred in the parking lot of Oakdale Homes, where a physical altercation escalated into a shooting. According to the Bladen County Sheriff's Office, Smith was shot around 6 p.m. and was subsequently taken to Cape Fear Valley Bladen County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
