Joseph Stephen Odom, a 75-year-old Caucasian male, was found dead in his home near Woodland, North Carolina on July 6, 2017. The cause of death was determined to be a fatal gunshot wound. The incident occurred around 6:45 p.m., and the Northampton County Sheriff's Office, along with the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations, launched an investigation into the matter.
