Steven Lamar Smith, a 21-year-old African American male from Burlington, North Carolina, was found shot to death in a vehicle on August 5, 2017. The incident occurred in Greensboro, North Carolina, where officers were called around 6 p.m. to the 900-block of Rugby Street in response to a shooting. Initially, the officers found evidence of a shooting but could not locate a victim.
