Jason Ray Tyner, a 40-year-old Caucasian male, was tragically killed on October 3, 2017, in the Gray's Creek community of Cumberland County, North Carolina. The incident occurred when Garrett Jordan Vann, a 32-year-old Air Force veteran, fired a 12-gauge shotgun into a vehicle occupied by Tyner. The shooting took place on Nash Road near Butler Nursery Road, and Tyner was struck in the head, resulting in his death.
