Isaiah Malik Gillespie, a 20-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on November 7, 2017, in Salisbury, North Carolina. Born on October 3, 1997, in Rowan County, Isaiah was a graduate of Northwest High School and a student at the Arts Institute of Charlotte. He was taken to Novant Health Rowan Medical Center by a private vehicle, where he succumbed to gunshot wounds.
