On December 11, 2017, Harold Levette Hoover, an 86-year-old man from Trinity, NC, was tragically shot and killed in his home. Deputies, EMS, and members of the Guil-Rand Fire Department were dispatched to 4020 Shannon Road in Trinity upon receiving a call. Upon arrival, they found Harold Hoover deceased. His wife, 77-year-old Rochelle Scarlett Hoover, was also found at the scene with non-life-threatening self-inflicted gunshot wounds.
