On the final day of 2014, in the midst of New Year's Eve celebrations, the life of 24-year-old Tierra DaShae Bell-Williams was tragically cut short in a hail of bullets on Detroit's east side. An African-American female, Tierra was a young mother with her whole life ahead of her. She was not the only victim of the senseless violence that evening; a 29-year-old man named Ernest Harding was also killed in the shooting.
