Iyania Rhone, an 18-year-old African American female from Erwin, NC, tragically lost her life on March 23, 2020. She was a senior at Harnett Central High School and was set to graduate in June. Iyania was asleep in her home on Bunnlevel-Erwin Road when she was struck by a bullet during a drive-by shooting. The incident occurred just after midnight, and she was shot once in the pelvic area. Despite being rushed to Cape Fear Valley Hospital, she succumbed to her injuries.
