Jason Shuping, a 25-year-old white male, tragically lost his life on December 16, 2020, while serving as a police officer in Concord, North Carolina. Officer Shuping was responding to an attempted carjacking at a fast-food restaurant when he was fatally shot. The incident began when a North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement agent encountered an abandoned vehicle at the scene of a single-car crash on the I-85 exit ramp to Bruton Smith Boulevard.
