The westbound lane of traffic on Boone Trail was blocked by Millers Creek Volunteer Fire Department personnel, and yellow crime scene tape was placed around the home. An Air Care helicopter from Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston-Salem was also seen landing at the helipad of Wake Forest Baptist Health Wilkes Medical Center in North Wilkesboro.
