On a Tuesday afternoon in Detroit, Michigan, the life of 22-year-old Demarco Carter was tragically cut short. On October 13, 2015, at approximately 4:55 p.m., Carter was on the southwest side of the city in the 15000 block of Hubbell Avenue, situated between Fenkell Avenue and Midland Street. As he was getting into the trunk of a vehicle parked in a driveway, he was fatally shot.
