Dymonte Latrell Hall, a 24-year-old African American male, was tragically murdered on July 27, 2022, in Charlotte, North Carolina. The incident occurred on John Adams Drive near Mallard Creek Church Road. Hall was shot during the nighttime hours and was subsequently driven to Atrium University Hospital. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the entrance to the emergency room.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department launched an investigation into the shooting, which led to the
arrest of Rashad Lamar Elliott, a 34-year-old male, nearly a month after the incident. Elliott was charged with first-degree murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office.
Further developments in the case revealed the involvement of a second suspect, Dallas Brand Jr., a 38-year-old male. Brand Jr. turned himself in to the authorities on September 8, 2022. He was also charged with first-degree murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.
The case remains under investigation by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, with more details expected to be released as they become available.
