Karizma Mebane, a 21-year-old African American woman from Durham, NC, was tragically killed on October 7, 2022. She was shot at a Valero gas station located at the corner of Hardee Street and Cheek Road. Despite being rushed to the hospital, she was pronounced dead shortly after. Karizma was known for her infectious smile and generous spirit, which touched many lives.
