Megan Michelle Tate, a 33-year-old woman from Gastonia, NC, tragically lost her life on December 2, 2022. Megan was shot and killed at an apartment on Spring Valley Drive in Gastonia. The incident occurred around 10 p.m., and police found Megan dead at the scene. The suspect, Shiquan Eleek Ratchford, 22, was arrested shortly after the shooting and charged with Megan's homicide. Ratchford was also charged with possession of a firearm by a felon.
