John Francis Bolden, age 35, was last seen on February 27, 1998, after setting sail from Miramar, Florida. He was aboard a 19-foot pleasure craft with two other men, Fred King and Dairo Restrepo. Their destination was Bimini in the Bahamas, but during the trip, their boat capsized off Haulover Beach and drifted towards Cape Canaveral.
