Deputy Sheriff Thomas William Procter, aged 35, tragically lost his life on May 20, 1978, in Lafourche Parish, Louisiana. Deputy Procter succumbed to a gunshot wound he sustained on May 6, 1978, after responding to a shoplifting call at a local grocery store.
