On a summer day in Stonewall, Louisiana, the life of 33-year-old Lloyd Dale Randolph, a male, came to a violent end. On June 1, 1986, Randolph, along with an associate named James R. Shoemake, was fatally shot. The two men, both members of the Shreveport chapter of the Bandidos Motorcycle Club, had gone to the trailer home of Dennis Baker to confront him over a dispute concerning the title to a motor vehicle.
The confrontation escalated quickly.
Randolph and Shoemake, a former president of the Shreveport chapter, arrived at Baker's residence armed with two handguns and an ax handle. As they were reportedly beating Baker with the ax handle, he defended himself with a 9 mm caliber pistol, shooting both men. The wounds proved fatal for both Randolph and Shoemake.
Following the incident, investigators conducted a thorough inquiry into the double fatality. After reviewing the evidence and the circumstances surrounding the shooting, authorities determined that Dennis Baker had acted in self-defense. Consequently, the killings were ruled as justifiable, and no arrests were made in connection with the deaths of Lloyd Dale Randolph and James R. Shoemake.
