Steve Thomas, a 16-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on January 12, 2002, in Harvey, Louisiana. The incident occurred at the now-closed Platinum Club, where a brawl broke out. During the altercation, Steve was shot once in the chest while lying on his back, being beaten by the friends of rapper C-Murder, whose real name is Corey Miller.
