In a tragic incident in Covington, Louisiana, two-year-old Makayla Christine Middleton, a White female, was found deceased on January 6, 2014. She was discovered alongside her 35-year-old father, Jacob Middleton Sr., at his home. Both had sustained fatal gunshot wounds to the head. The discovery was made by Makayla's mother, Kellie Smith, who went to the residence after not hearing from them. Makayla was described as an outgoing toddler who loved to dance and be on camera.
