In the early morning hours of December 28, 2014, the community of Violet, Louisiana, was disturbed by an act of violence that claimed the life of 27-year-old Broderick Parker. A male victim, Parker was fatally shot around 6:30 a.m. in the 2300 block of Licciardi Lane. This incident marked the first homicide in St. Bernard Parish in over a year, sending ripples of concern through the area.
The St. Bernard Parish Sheriff's Office quickly launched an investigation into the shooting.
Their efforts, which included the review of surveillance video that showed the suspect with Parker shortly before his death, led to the swift identification of a primary suspect. Two days after the fatal shooting, authorities arrested 22-year-old Dondre 'Snoop' Johnson in connection with Parker's murder.
