In the Algiers neighborhood of New Orleans, a young man's life was cut short on the evening of Monday, March 16, 2015. Steve G. A dark-colored SUV drove by, and an occupant of the vehicle opened fire on the three individuals. Brackens was struck twice by the gunfire.
