Steve G. Brackens III, an 18-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on March 16, 2015, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Steve was a graduate of L.B. Landry High School, Class of 2014. On the evening of his death, Steve was socializing with friends in the 1200 block of Sumner Street when a dark-colored SUV approached and began firing in his direction. Steve sustained two gunshot wounds and was transported by EMS to University Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
