On July 18, 2015, Brandon P. "Jay" Jones, a 29-year-old African American male from Denham Springs, Louisiana, was fatally shot in his hometown. The incident occurred in Denham Springs, where Brandon resided with his family. He was survived by his mother, Annthera Jones; his son, Alvin Brown; his daughter, Tiyana Jones; and his brother, Deon Jones. Brandon was preceded in death by his brother, Tarvis "Todd" Rudison.
