Gerald Morgan, a 17-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on July 21, 2015, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Gerald was an honor student at Restoration Christian Academy. On that fateful day, at approximately 2:30 p.m., Gerald was outside a home in the 5900 block of Boeing Street when a gunman opened fire. The shooting also wounded his 4-year-old relative. Gerald was shot in the head and succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
