Travon Edwards, a 15-year-old African American male, was found dead on January 29, 2016, in a wooded area near First Street in Melville, Louisiana. The coroner confirmed that Travon was shot once. His body was discovered by St. Landry Parish deputies, who immediately launched an investigation into his death.
