Alex Babineaux, a 32-year-old African American male from Church Point, Louisiana, was tragically killed on July 16, 2017. Babineaux was the victim of a drive-by shooting that occurred at approximately 5:47 a.m. while he was walking along the 600 block of N. Wilson St. He was found on the sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Acadia Parish Coroner's Office. His body was later transported to a Lake Charles area facility for an autopsy.
