Marquez Truitt, a 7-year-old boy from Lake Providence, Louisiana, tragically lost his life on March 12, 2018. On that fateful day, Marquez and his 12-year-old brother were at home in their bedroom when the older sibling discovered a gun. In a devastating accident, the older brother picked up the firearm, which discharged and fatally wounded Marquez.
