Valentae Brooks, a 16-year-old African American male from Jackson, Louisiana, tragically lost his life on November 13, 2018. Valentae, also known as "Cowboy Tae," was in his bedroom with friends, preparing to record a rap song in his makeshift recording studio. He showed what he believed to be an unloaded gun to his friends, intending to take pictures and videos with it. Unfortunately, the gun was loaded and accidentally discharged, striking and killing Valentae.
