In the early hours of a Saturday morning in Detroit, the lives of two cousins were tragically cut short. Albert Journey, a 37-year-old man, was fatally shot and killed on October 28, 2017. The incident also claimed the life of his 33-year-old cousin, Broderick Long.

The shooting occurred around 12:40 a.m. in the 4700 block of Cooper Street, near East Forest Avenue. A report of gunfire prompted a police response, and upon their arrival, officers discovered both Journey and Long lying on th ...
