Jaylyn Shirlice Guice, a 20-year-old African American woman from Ferriday, Louisiana, tragically lost her life on September 11, 2019. Jaylyn was a 2017 graduate of Ferriday High School and was attending Southern University in Baton Rouge at the time of her death. Her passing was a result of a shooting incident that occurred at her residence on Johnson Street in Ferriday. The incident also claimed the life of Samuel Johnson, a 20-year-old male from Ferriday.
