Charley Island Jr., a 65-year-old African American man, was found dead on January 6, 2020, in Rayville, Louisiana. The Richland Parish Sheriff's Office responded to a 911 call at 8:03 a.m. and discovered Island's body at 310 Earline Street. He had suffered a gunshot wound, and his death was ruled a homicide.
