Qi'Le Maron Sanders, a 21-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on July 18, 2020, in Lacombe, Louisiana. She was found shot to death alongside her boyfriend, Sylvanus "Jed" Ellis III, a 20-year-old African American man, in an SUV parked on Bremerman Road inside the Big Branch Marsh National Wildlife Refuge.
