In the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston, the afternoon of March 9, 2007, was shattered by an act of brutal violence. Quintessa Blackwell, an 18-year-old African-American woman, was walking down Olney Street, just steps from the Holland Elementary School, when she was gunned down in broad daylight.
