Karina Holmer, a 20-year-old Swedish au pair, was brutally murdered in Boston on June 22, 1996, in a case that remains unsolved. After moving to Boston to work for a family in Dover, Karina spent her weekends exploring the city. On the night of June 21, 1996, she went out to Club Zanzibar, a nightclub in the Theater District, to celebrate the summer solstice. Witnesses reported seeing her leave the club in the early hours of June 22, but she never made it home.
