On the evening of March 28, 2007, a young Black/African American man named James M. Williams, 24, was fatally shot in Boston. The incident occurred at approximately 5:22 p.m. at the corner of Blue Hill Avenue and Talbot Avenue in the Mattapan neighborhood. Officers from District 3 responded to a report of a person shot and found Williams at 870 Blue Hill Avenue suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
