Eric Paul Thibodaux, an 18-year-old male from Schriever, LA, tragically lost his life on January 1, 2021. Eric, a freshman at Nicholls State University, was attending a New Year's Eve party in the Jolie Oaks subdivision when the incident occurred. According to reports, a fight broke out at the party, and Eric, along with his friend Matthew Badeaux, was walking away from the scene when they were shot from behind by Kamron Kajon Jacquot, a 20-year-old male.
