Geremie G. Middleton, a 41-year-old African American man from Franklinton, Louisiana, was shot and killed on August 12, 2021, at the Magee Trailer Park on Woods Drive in Washington Parish. The incident occurred in the evening, and another man was also shot but survived. Middleton was known for his dedication to his children and his passion for music and cars. His death has left his family and community in mourning.
