At approximately 4:57 p.m. on September 18th, officers from the Boston Police Department rushed to 26 King Street in Dorchester following a report of a person shot. Upon their arrival, they discovered 25-year-old Rosa suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the driveway of the residence.
Emergency services transported him to Boston Medical Center, where
he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner later officially ruled the manner of his death a homicide. The initial investigation suggested that Rosa was the intended target of the attack.
