Komawlee Morris, a 26-year-old Black male, was shot on the morning of October 30, 2008, inside a residence at 110 Greenbrier Street in Dorchester, Boston. Officers responding around 10:12 a.m. found him suffering from a gunshot wound; he was taken to Boston Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The medical examiner ruled the manner of death a homicide.
Investigators said preliminary information indicated that two masked men in black hooded sweatshirts forced their way into the home, confronted Morris, and opened fire before fleeing on foot. Detectives appealed to the public for assistance as they worked to trace the attackers’ path and motive.
In the years since, Morris’s killing has remained listed among Boston’s unsolved homicides, and authorities have not announced any arrests. Police records continue to identify the case as open, with no named suspects.
