Darvelle Brown, a 24-year-old African American male, was found fatally shot in the hallway of a West Garfield Park apartment building in Chicago on January 8, 2013. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, and Brown was pronounced dead at 6:32 a.m. at Mount Sinai Hospital.
