Cardereon Preister, a 21-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on September 10, 2013, in Evanston, Illinois. The incident occurred around 11 p.m. in the 1700 block of Lyons Avenue. Preister was found with a gunshot wound to his back and was transported to Evanston NorthShore University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
