Briana Valle, a 15-year-old Hispanic girl from Romeoville, Illinois, tragically lost her life on February 13, 2014. The incident occurred early in the morning as Briana and her mother, Alicia Guerrero, were preparing to leave for school. While they were in their car, a hooded assailant approached and shot Briana in the head. Alicia was also shot in the neck as she pleaded with the attacker. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Briana was declared brain dead and passed away four days later.
