In the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston, on a December morning in 2011, the life of 22-year-old Christopher Owens, a Black male, was tragically cut short. On December 9th, police responded to a call of a person shot at 47 Winston Road. Upon arrival, they discovered Owens suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Christopher Nicholas Owens was born on March 5, 1989, in Boston to his parents, Leroy Singleton and Sandra Owens.
His death was one of 34 homicides that occurred in Dorchester and Mattapan that year. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined that Owens' manner of death was a homicide.
In the years that have passed since Christopher Owens' death, his case has remained unsolved. The Boston Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting, but no suspects have been publicly identified, and no arrests have been made.
