In the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston, on a December morning in 2011, the life of 22-year-old Christopher Owens, a Black male, was tragically cut short. On December 9th, police responded to a call of a person shot at 47 Winston Road. Upon arrival, they discovered Owens suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Christopher Nicholas Owens was born on March 5, 1989, in Boston to his parents, Leroy Singleton and Sandra Owens. His death was one of 34 homicides ...
