Donald R. Letterle, a 62-year-old white male, died on April 22, 2014, in Lincoln, Illinois. His death occurred at The Glass House Tavern, where he was involved in a physical altercation with a woman named Candi Gesner, aged 38. The incident escalated when Letterle, reportedly armed with a handgun, refused to comply with police orders to drop his weapon. The confrontation ended with Letterle being shot by a Lincoln police officer.
