Vaughn Holeman, a 15-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on May 11, 2014, in Chicago, Illinois. Vaughn was shot in the chest and under the arm while standing outside in the 200 block of West 116th Street in the West Pullman neighborhood. The incident occurred around 3:40 p.m. on Mother's Day. Vaughn was pointing out a passing vehicle when a 15-year-old boy, who was with him, fired multiple shots at the vehicle. One of these shots struck Vaughn, leading to his untimely death. ...
