On a summer night in 2012, the life of 34-year-old Jemald Allen, an African-American man, was cut short in a burst of violence. In the early hours of August 12th, a quadruple shooting occurred on Canterbury Street in the Roslindale neighborhood of Boston, leaving Allen fatally wounded. Three other individuals were also injured in the incident, which shattered the quiet of the residential street.
