Elbert Farris, a 25-year-old man, was fatally shot on July 18, 2015, in the East Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side of Chicago, IL. Officers responded to a call of shots fired around 10 p.m. in the 500 block of North Avers and found Farris on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds, including at least one to the head. He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Farris resided in the 800 block of North Latrobe.
