Andrew B. Maul, a 36-year-old white male from Jacksonville, Illinois, tragically lost his life on September 11, 2015. The incident occurred in the parking lot of the Jacksonville Police Department, where Andrew was shot to death by his former father-in-law, Robert H. Gill. The shooting took place around 6 PM on that fateful Friday evening. Following the shooting, Robert Gill set fire to the home of Andrew's mother, Debbie Bartz, before crashing his truck.
