Tarik Dewalt, a 21-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed in Decatur, Illinois, on January 13, 2016. The incident occurred late Wednesday night, and Dewalt was pronounced dead at the Decatur Memorial Hospital. The Macon County Coroner confirmed his identity shortly after the incident.
