Armani Dickinson, a 19-year-old African American male, was tragically found dead on March 23, 2016, in Chicago, Illinois. His body was discovered lying unresponsive in an alley in the 5300 block of South Hermitage Avenue in the Back of the Yards neighborhood. Armani had suffered a gunshot wound to the back of the head and was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after midnight. This incident marked one of the many tragic deaths in Chicago during a year that saw a significant spike in homicides.
