Othijah M. Mooney, a 35-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on August 29, 2016, in Chicago, IL. The circumstances surrounding her death were deeply distressing. According to reports, Othijah was shot by her fiancé, Terrance Meredith, in front of their 10-year-old daughter.
